Brad Hoffman is a Senior Vice President in MassMutual’s Enterprise Risk Management department.  He joined MassMutual in 1991, and has held various positions within the Legal, Insurance, Retirement, and Enterprise Risk divisions during his career.  He joined Enterprise Risk in 2009 to help standardize the approach for measuring and managing operational risks across the entire MassMutual enterprise.

He currently is the head of Operational, Financial Reporting, and Model Risk.  He and his team coordinate with line/subsidiary risk managers focusing on strategic risk management, identification and mitigation of enterprise wide top and operational risks, risk appetite, financial reporting risk, and model risk management.  He also serves as the liaison for rating agencies and in the role of the Chief Risk Officer for MML Distributors, LLC.  As with all members of Enterprise Risk, he supports other enterprise risk management initiatives and has been an active co-leader in the Economic Value Project to enable ERM to provide economic insights about the company’s risks and opportunities.

Brad is an attorney admitted to practice in Massachusetts and Connecticut and graduated from the Marshall Wythe School of Law at the College of William and Mary and Colgate University.
